Description

Early morning, an air-conditioned minivan picks you up from your Phuket hotel and takes you to Khao Lak pier. The Wow Andaman team welcomes you with a light breakfast (coffee, tea) while you select your snorkeling gear. After a safety briefing and program information, you’ll reach the Similan Islands in about 90 minutes.

First stop: Koh Miang (Island 4) — enjoy white sands and striking sea colours; with luck you may spot Nicobar flying foxes and pigeons.

Next: Koh Payu (Island 7) — excellent snorkeling sites rich in hard and soft corals, with colourful reef fish.

Then: Ko Bangu (Island 9) — the northern island; its east side ranks among the best snorkeling areas with coral reefs, sea fans, horn corals and standout rock features.

Lunch on the secluded white-sand beach of Koh Similan (Island 8). It’s the largest island, with scenic viewpoints and jungle trails; after lunch you can hike up to the Sailing Rock viewpoint.

Finally, return to Khao Lak pier for a light refreshment before your transfer back to Phuket hotel.

The Similan Islands National Park is officially open from October 15 to May 15.

Bring a dry bag, swimwear, sunscreen, umbrella, sunglasses, flip-flops and a camera. A 300 THB extra fee per person applies for hotel changes. To confirm your booking, please send a copy of the passengers’ passport information page (handled confidentially). Jellyfish may occur in the Andaman Sea — protective clothing is recommended.

For safety, wearing a life jacket during the boat ride and snorkeling is strongly recommended.
