Christmas in Thailand
Krabi’s Tropical Islands
Leave the winter season behind and spend the holidays in southern Thailand — a relaxed 14-day island-focused journey around Krabi, designed for sunshine, sea views and meaningful downtime.
Why Choose This Christmas Journey?
A warm holiday-season escape built around Krabi, island scenery, private boat experiences and enough free time to truly unwind.
Holiday Season in the Sun
Instead of cold weather and year-end pressure, this trip places Christmas in a tropical setting with beaches, sea views and a calmer rhythm.
Island-Focused Program
The journey centres on Krabi and its island world, including private boat trips, coastal highlights and scenic places around the Andaman Sea.
Relaxed Travel Pace

Two Complimentary Boat Trips
The program includes a private Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay boat trip, plus a private 7 Islands sunset and dinner experience.
Flexible Optional Days
Optional experiences such as Similan Islands, Tiger Cave Temple, an elephant sanctuary, Emerald Pool and local village life can be added.
English-Speaking Support
English-speaking assistance is available throughout the journey, with local Thai guides included on selected programs.
14 Days Around Krabi’s Tropical Islands
Tap a day to see how the Christmas journey unfolds.
Day 1 — Arrival in Krabi or Phuket
Your Thailand holiday begins as you land at Krabi or Phuket Airport and continue by transfer to your hotel in the Ao Nang area. The remainder of the day is intentionally unplanned, giving you time to settle in, rest after the journey and ease into the tropical pace of southern Thailand.
Day 2 — Relaxed Start & Welcome Dinner
The first full day is deliberately gentle. You can enjoy the beach, explore Ao Nang, use the hotel facilities or simply recover from the long flight. In the evening, the group meets for a welcome dinner at Khaotong Hill, a scenic viewpoint where sea and island views set the mood for the journey ahead. Dinner is included.
Day 3 — Railay Beach & Phra Nang by Longtail Boat
Today brings one of Krabi’s signature coastal experiences. A traditional longtail boat takes you to Railay Beach and nearby Phra Nang Beach, where limestone cliffs, clear water and a relaxed tropical atmosphere define the day. There is time to swim, walk between the beaches, explore quieter corners or simply enjoy the scenery without rushing.
Day 4 — Free Day or Optional Similan Islands Excursion
This day remains flexible. You may slow down by the sea, enjoy a massage, relax at the hotel or explore independently. Travelers who want to add a more adventurous island experience can choose the optional full-day Similan Islands excursion, known in the program for white sand, exceptionally clear water and rich marine life.
Day 5 — Klong Root Mangrove Kayaking
A calmer natural setting shapes today’s experience. Kayaking through the Klong Root mangrove area, you glide over remarkably clear water where underwater vegetation may be visible beneath you. The atmosphere is peaceful and immersive, with lush greenery and a sense of stillness that contrasts beautifully with the open sea days. The program also highlights the area’s connection with the Jurassic World film atmosphere.
Day 6 — Private Phi Phi Islands & Maya Bay Boat Trip
This is one of the headline experiences of the journey. By private boat, the group travels toward the Phi Phi Islands and the world-famous Maya Bay. The day is not limited to one beach: the program also includes beautiful island stops such as Bamboo Island, with time for swimming, snorkeling and enjoying the dramatic Andaman Sea landscape. Lunch is included.
Day 7 — Free Day or Optional Tiger Cave Temple Visit
After several experience-rich days, the pace slows again. You can spend the day resting, enjoying Krabi independently or joining the optional visit to Tiger Cave Temple. For travelers who appreciate scenery, culture and a physical challenge, this optional program adds a more spiritual and active dimension to the holiday.
Day 8 — Free Day or Ethical Elephant Sanctuary
This day is designed around rest, with the option of a meaningful wildlife-focused experience. Guests who wish may visit an ethical elephant sanctuary, where the emphasis is on observing elephants in a calmer and more respectful environment. Others can keep the day open for beach time, relaxation or personal plans.
Day 9 — Free Day or Optional Tuk-Tuk Village Excursion
Today offers another slower rhythm, with the chance to see a more local side of southern Thailand. The optional tuk-tuk excursion to a fishing village is not built around major tourist sights; instead, it focuses on atmosphere, everyday routines, coastal community life and a more authentic regional pace.
Day 10 — Christmas Private Boat Trip to Hong Island
This is the emotional centre of the journey: a Christmas day shaped by sea, sunshine and open sky instead of winter weather. By private boat, we travel toward Hong Island and its surrounding coastal scenery, known in the program for calm lagoons, clear water and impressive rock formations. The highlight is a beach picnic on a sandbank near Koh Yao Yai. Lunch is included.
Day 11 — Free Day or Optional Emerald Pool & Hot Springs
You can keep this day completely relaxed or choose an optional inland excursion. The Emerald Pool and nearby hot springs add a different natural atmosphere to the trip, with greenery, warm water and a quieter setting that contrasts with the coastal and island-based programs.
Day 12 — Private 7 Islands Longtail Boat Tour
Today we return to Krabi’s island world by private longtail boat. The program visits smaller islands, beaches and coastal stops with time for swimming, snorkeling and relaxed sightseeing. As the light changes toward sunset, the mood becomes softer; when conditions allow, the day may end with swimming among bioluminescent plankton after the picnic-style dinner. Dinner is included.
Day 13 — Relaxation or Optional Buddhist Ceremony
The final full day is left open on purpose. You can rest, revisit a favourite place, enjoy the beach or take part in an optional Buddhist ceremony. This is described in the program as a quieter, more reflective cultural experience and a thoughtful way to close the journey.
Day 14 — Departure from Thailand
Transfer to Krabi or Phuket Airport for your departure. By the end of the trip, the holiday is no longer only about beaches and island photographs; it becomes a Christmas memory shaped by warmth, nature, slower days and carefully chosen experiences.
